True power lies in your connection to your Light

Hello beautiful ones. We’re almost done with February, and this year is gonna go fast, so hang on and let go at the same time!

I recently had a situation occur where two people I know who love each other are in a position where they aren’t speaking over a couple of hot button issues. It reminded me of what is happening in the country as well – where we are living in two different worlds and essentially two different realities. And my living question to all of this is how do we bridge that gap? How do we bring people together who may have radically different opinions to the table? Because in the call for unity, we have to be able to know how to bridge this divide in order to move everyone forward.

It is my belief that in order bridge this divide, a couple of fundamental things need to happen. The first is - in order to have as seat at the table, you have to be willing to opt yourself into the conversation. If you decide to just not speak to someone because they oppose what you believe, then your voice cannot be heard.

The second, and probably more important piece, is that you have to be able to be the space where others can feel comfortable in offering their thoughts, opinions and ideas. If you go into the conversation only hoping to change the others person’s mind, the dynamics of that conversation will go nowhere.

You can probably remember someone in your life who did this quite well – someone who could steer and orient a conversation that left others feeling heard and seen. People left the room feeling empowered and that they could accomplish more, not less.

So what does it take then to become the space in order to create the change you want to see? It always starts with you. It starts with your ability to know yourself, to be able to navigate your inner world, to be free of needing to prove you are right. When you are connected to your inner power, this is where your ultimate strength lies.

Now – don’t misunderstand me because I have never said that you give up your value system, that you compromise and agree to something that is harmful or hurtful to another or to yourself. But when you know your inner power and strength to the degree that no one on the outside can take away your inner power, then that’s when you have reached a place of neutrality and where you can move mountains.

I’m sure you know the famous quote by MLK Jr when he said – Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only Light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate, only Love can do that.

It is by standing in your own individual light, in divine neutrality, is where this bridge can happen. The civil rights movement started with people, in their power, sitting at lunch counters or at the front of the bus, effectively opting themselves into the conversation. They chose to create a seat at the table for themselves. All the young people calling for climate change that the elders are slow to embrace, they are opting themselves into the conversation even though some of them cannot even vote. They are electing themselves to be part of a conversation, owning and shining their lights, in order to create change.

I recently said to someone that as we continue to move forward into the New Earth paradigm, Love has already won. They replied to me, yeah, we need a lot more than love. We need a plan. Well, my response to that is by allowing ourselves to clear our inner spaces, to allow ourselves to move through our own individual darkness, we in turn become more light. When we become more light, we allow in more love. And this is where our power lies. Within ourselves, in this love and light. It’s not abstract. All we are is energy, and when we become a clearer conduit of this Light energy and connect with this power, this is where your true power can come forth and change can happen.

So this is what I believe our call to action is in order to bridge this divide. We must choose to allow ourselves to get to really know ourselves, to own our own darkness to become more connected to our light and to find our own individual power in this light. This then allows us to become that space that can bridge worlds that can help bridge the divide. And then when you decide to opt yourself into the conversation, you can be the one at the table that truly makes the difference.

Much love, many blessings. xo
